Yeah man especially with created coaches not being allowed to leave after a year for new job (glitch or whatever..but I like this) Broadway is a junior and can carry me through my two years or more. I think I'm going to stick with them even if we do the no recruiting for coordinators. Can't pass up on the offensive talent they have. Only problem I see with recruiting is your total sticks week to week. So if I use 2500 and the comp uses 2500 it's 5000 every week. Perhaps we all have to reset it to zero every week then use 2500 again so you can tell. Maybe a way to go is while at this first school as a coordinator you cannot recruit but you can if you take a coordinator job at a bigger school. As a guy said earlier this provides incentive to choose a HC gig. But allows you to profit from taking a big coordinator job down the road as well Yeah, my main concern with this is that if we have CPU assistance on, they might mess with our recruits, which would really suck. Plus they inevitable would also add recruits to the board from our side of the ball and commit points to them and whatnot. It's impossible to contain the CPU to just one side of the ball, they're going to recruit both no matter what, especially if there's a team need on that side of the ball.

I guess I better jump on it before my jobs get snagged (grr, I was really wanting the ULL OC job if we went that route). If coordinators, I'll be the OC of Tulane, if HC I'll go... UMass? Georgia State is just dreadful so UMass it is. Ouch...

Haha yes Georgia State is probably the worst team in fbs history. The have never beat a fbs school and only have beate 4 fcs teams. They went 1-11 last year vs almost all fcs teams. Only win came vs a 0-11 rhode island.
Umass actually has a little potential and tulane looks to be greatly improvef.

Just a thought on this whole head coach vs. coordinator debate. I think all of us kind of want to start as a coordinator, but it's just the recruiting headache. But, in all honesty, I don't think any of us would keep our head coaching jobs for any longer than the two years anyway, considering they're all pretty terrible jobs. And if we did good enough where we weren't terrible anymore, we would get a great offer elsewhere. Point being, recruiting seems pretty nonessential in the beginning because we're basically hand picking prospects for our successors to coach since its likely we'll pack up and leave. So, if we were coordinators and nobody recruited until they got their desired head coaching job, it wouldn't really be all that much of a letdown, and actually it would make our first two years of mediocrity go significantly faster since our only time would be spent on playing games. Just trying to see how we can justify one over the other, I think everyone being a coordinator might not be too bad, since the recruiting as a head coach would probably go to waste in actuality. Or, we could just all be head coaches of bad programs but I definitely think it should be one or the other, head coaches or solely coordinators, aka no recruiting or changing depth charts of defense.

But hey, looking at Tulane I actually like them more for the offense I want to run, so we both win!

Yeah, of all the teams available, they have a great RB, decent offensive line, and a star WR! QB is good enough to get me by. IF we go the coordinator route, I'm excited to do work with them.

Seems like everyone is on board with the coordinator route.
I say we do that and not worry about recruiting but if you really want to recruit go ahead cuz as you said we will be moving on to a new school shortly.

Yeah, I think we should all go coordinators and just not do anything but call our side of the ball. If people recruit and change defensive scheming and that stuff, not really any way to stop them, but they're losing the spirit of what coordinator vs. head coach is all about.

I agree, so lets do that.
Only pick out coordinator position please! I think everyone so far has done so, but just a heads up for people who have not decided yet.

Damn Hookem, I was hoping that no one would grab North Texas, haha. Right now I am contemplating if I wanna go OC or DC, but I think I will snag Eastern Mich.

Even though we aren't recruiting anyway... unless you keep the job until you're the head coach, that is! Working your way up the old fashioned way.

Seeing how most are being offensive coordinators..what type of offense will you guys be running? I usually run some type of multiple offense myself
