@ulrajincajuns: The Ragin' Cajuns have gone into Kansas St. and pulled off the upset!!! Record setting performance by Broadway #Ragin' Kansas St. walked out and started a game Saturday that everyone thought would finish as expected. In fact the first drive by ULL was a dominating 3 and out for negative yards then a prompt score by KSU and then on the very next drive an INT by KSU to get the ball back and make it 10-0. cake walk. wrong. ULL had -10 rushing yards at half. So they had to try something against that dominating front, and the only thing offensive Coordinator Kaleb could think to do was unleash Terrance Broadways monster arm. This may have proved to show Broadway is more then a scrambler. At the end of the night Broadway would end up setting a school record for passing yards in a game at 508 on 34/46 attempts. This opened up the running game to allow ULL to make a little run game. ULL took the lead in the third by two perfectly executed drives and the Cajuns seemed to be on the way to victory. KSU scored to make it a 25-28 ULL lead. ULL was running the clock out untill a crucial third down made them pass the ball and it couldnt have gone worse. Broadway used his legs escape pressure and run backwards to get destoryed and a sack fumble picked up be Chaquil Reed for a 40 yard TD. ULL had 4 minutes to win the game. Broadway was cool and collected as he lead the down and scoared with 13 seconds left! Although Broadway broke his promise to ULL fans to not throw another multi-pick game i think they will forgive him for the 508 yard 4 TD performance. Broadway had over 800 yards on the season to go with 7 TDs and 6 INTS, while his INT total is inflated due to facing very hard defenses his first two weeks i wouldnt expect him to continue that trend as they enter conference play. His legs will certainly play more of a factor in upcoming games.

Tulane Football @greenwavefbSick move by Tulane TE Matt Marfisi in spinning out two defenders for the epic touchdown play. You'll be seeing that one again! #SCtop10 Please tell me you saved the highlight of that one handed catch. No, actually, I had seen that animation before and I could t get the right angle... So I just dropped the idea of trying to get the highlight.

Ryan Grant with a ridiculous one-handed catch, second straight week with a sick one-hand grab. Looks like Tulane is becoming a mainstay on everyone's favorite late night sports segment! #twotimetopten

The University of Wyoming almost pulled out a shocker in Lincoln on Saturday, but fell in the end 48-45. Neither defense could stop the other as Wyoming churned out a whopping 660 yards of total offense with 548 yards of it coming through the air. The only problem; 5 passing TD's to go along with 5 INT's. Junior QB, Smith, completed 21 of 32 passes for 528 yards and 5 TD's, but also through 4 INT's with one coming with less than a minute left in the game to seal the victory for the Huskers. Senior RB, Miller, ran for 100 yards on 19 carries and a TD, but it was an enormous day for Cowboy receivers. Junior WR, Rufran, caught 7 passes for 108 yards, while Junior WR, Norman, had 5 grabs or his own for a total of 210 yards and 4 TD's on the day. Absurd numbers against the vaunted "Blackshirt" defense. Herron and Claiborne added 92 yards and 75 yards, respectfully. The Cowboys head home to take on Idaho next Saturday.

Wyoming, backed by the stellar QB play of Smith, dominated the Idaho Vandals on Saturday afternoon. The Cowboys gained a total of 672 yards on the day in a route of Idaho 57-17. Smith finished late in the 3rd quarter 23 of 31 for 311 yards and 3 TD's. The real story of the day though was senior HB, Miller, who rushed for an astounding 235 yards on just 13 carries. An astronomical 18 yards per carry. Miller had longs of 79 & 55 both going for scores.

Eastern Michigan Falls 44-7... Coach Atteberry Not too Upset Eastern Michigan got taken to the woodshed by the Penn State Nittany Lions Saturday Afternoon in Happy Valley. However, despite the final score being 44-7, first year coach Bentley Atteberry was fairly pleased, "We looked much better this week then we did the prior week against Howard. Yes, we gave up a few more points and just ten more yards to a far superior opponent. We came in with a game plan of making the young freshmen quarterback beat us (Christian Hackenburg) and he did just that. Props to him. Looking here at the stat sheet proves how much we focuses on the run defense while making the schematic adjustment to more of a 4-2-5 defense. We only gave up 164 yards on the ground at about 4 yards per carry. That is not exactly something to write home about, but is a huge improvement over the over 6 yards per carry and over 300 yards on the ground we gave up last week. I actually really like how our boys fought in the trenches despite the fact that I dont recall them ever getting a break. No, seriously, I think this entire game was played on defense or something. I do not remember seeing the offense on the field at all..." Coach Atteberry might have been making a somewhat sarcastic remark here, but he actually is not that far off. Eastern Michigan ran just 44 plays on offense. That is just over half of the 83 that Penn State ran. On top of that, Penn State handled the ball for a whopping 25 minutes, which is more than three times as much as the measly 7 minutes that the Eagles had the ball for. Giving up 44 points to that calibre of team on the road while getting no help from the offense is a decent excuse for some of the defensive struggles... "Obviously, giving up 44 points is not good and I can take some blame for that, but as I said before, its extremely difficult to hold an good opponent to decent numbers when the only rest the defense received was at half time. I think we are going to have to sit down with all of the offensive coaches and figure out a strategy for them to just give our guys some more rest." Coach Atteberry did not want to continue on talking about the other side of the ball, but did show signs of a grin after a reporter asked if there were any bright spots from todays game, "Oh absolutely! As I mentioned before, our run defense was light years better than it was last week and we were going against some buffet table champions out there today. On top of that, I think I have found our guy to revolve our defense around. As you know, I am a huge fan of putting one of the safeties up in the box, but that safety has to have such good recognition skills and a very good first step in deciding a run or pass that it can be tough to find that calibre of player to fit in our rover type roll. With that said, the way Pudge Cotton played out there today shows to me that he is ready to step up into that position. I began using him up there more in the second half and he put the hammer down a couple of times. I believe he lead today in tackles with 11, which were all solo's. On top of that, he made a lot of his tackles right around the line of scrimmage, which showed his explosiveness to come up and help in run support. I really look forward to what he will be able to do in the future." Next week the Eagles head off the Piscataway, New Jersey to face Rutgers.

One day after struggling mightily against an FBS team the Red Wolves fired their offensive coordinator and hired former Arizona State grad assistant Brian Anderson. Just six days later ASU put together a total game, holding the 2010 National Champs to just 20 points while exploding for 52. Doing it both through the air and on the ground totaling up 625 total yards. The ASU secondary helped their new offensive coordiantor early by picking off the Tigers 4 times on the Red Wolves side of the field. Senior David Oku put up 189 yrds and 2 tds. While Sophomore QB Stephen Hogan went 8-15 for 119 and 3 tds through the air, and 61 yds on 9 attempts on the ground. Leading reciever for the game was sophomore JD Mckissic with 7 rec for 76 yrds.
Coach Anderson was quoted after the game saying " The team came out ready to play. Auburn and Jordan-Hare Stadium are one of the biggest stages these guys will ever see. We wanted a statement game after last weeks shameful catastrophe. Once we started rolling... I told the team that we were not going to take the foot off the petal even when we put in the second team. BCS teams like Auburn aren't the only teams in the area. Parity in college is coming... and it is starting here. HOWWWWLL bout them RED WOLVES...

Eastern Michigan Falls, but is Competitive for First Time this Season... The Eastern Michigan Eagles fell to Rutgers saturday 30-14, but it was closer than that score makes it seem. The Eagles were down only 17-14 at the half and seemed to be able to move the football for the first time this season, which also made it slightly easier on the defense. After the Eastern Michigan Defense forced a three and out, the offense immediately turned the ball over at their own 20 yard line putting the defense in a tough spot. They were not able to hold Rutgers there, but continued to play them tough on the defensive side of the ball despite giving up 30 points. Coach Atteberry after the game, "I am very pleased with our defensive performance. We gave up a little too many yards and were unable to get our first turnover this season. Besides that though I thought we did great. Pudge Cotton is really coming along and becoming a force on our defense. He had multiple tackles behind the line of scrimmage and was able to make multiple big plays." Cotton finished with an impressive 17 tackles from the strong safety/ outside linebacker hybrid position. He also tallied up three tackles behind the line of scrimmage and had a dropped interception. The Eagles also gave up 414 total yards but only 170 of those came through the air. Again the Eagles defense was exhausted after being on the field for 74 plays compared to their own 50 plays on offense. Additionally the defense was able to for 18 third downs, but the Scarlet Knights also converted on 2 of 3 fourth downs. "We need to do better on third and long and fourth down situations. Once we clean that up, we will be a good defense. This was a pretty good Rutgers offense, so I am pretty pleased. Once we get into conference play, I can see our numbers improving significantly." Next week Eastern MIchigan continues their road trip at an improved Buffalo Bulls team.

A horrible sight here at the Tulane game, both star players exiting the game with apparent elbow injuries. Both are out for the remainder of the second half, and we should know the severity of these injuries shortly. Hope for the best, but it didn't look good. #theregoesmyoffense

Tulane's offense keeps on rolling with a 49-35 win over LA Tech. Nick Montana went absolutely insane with 503 yards and 5 TD's and nearly 70% completion. Montana is now officially in the school record books. #checkthestats #legendisborn #geneticgreatness

@thebigbg
Bowling Green looked plain stupid out there. 7 sacks, 6 drops, and a couple of picks did not help their chances in Bloomington. Coach needs to find a way to improve the O-Line. #5YardsRushing #Disgusting
